Check Air Filters
You should聽replace聽standard air filters聽monthly. If you聽fail to do so, they can聽end up聽clogged,聽obstructing聽air flow and聽resulting in your furnace malfunctioning.
Check Your Thermostat
Try turning the temperature up a few degrees to get the furnace to kick on. If the聽current聽room temperature is higher than the thermostat, the聽heating system won't turn on. Also,聽verify聽the system switch is on “heat” or “auto.”
Check the Power
It may seem聽silly, but聽verify聽the power switch next to the聽heating system聽is “On.” Even gas聽heating equipment uses聽electricity so聽verify聽the breaker has not tripped and that the power switch聽has not been聽accidentally聽switched聽to the “Off” position.
